A Truce--but for How long?

A ceasefire terminating the recent Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip is supposed to guarantee that Gaza's fishermen can do their work within 12 nautical miles in the south of the Gaza Strip and 6 nautical miles in the north. Israel's failure to implement a promised easing of restrictions agreed to after a year of Great March of Return demonstrations precipitated the firing of rockets from the Gaza Strip and Israel's lethal response. There is speculation that Israel may abandon the current truce after the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv.
