Water is Life

"Water is Life, Life is Struggle" as Leonard Peltier reminds us in the 41st year of his unjust incarceration. Call 202-456-1111 and urge President Obama to release him.

Water IS life and we cannot leave this issue for our children and grandchildren to deal with when things are far worse for the natural world then they are now.

And Mother Earth is already in struggle.

Let us Pledge to Work for Water Justice, from Standing Rock to Palestine

United in their quest for justice: Palestinians and Native Americans:

“If colonization will tear you down, solidarity will build you back up”—Lakota Elder

“As the dominant powers of the world maintain that our resistance as oppressed peoples and communities poses a greater threat to society than the immeasurable and all-encompassing violence of our oppressors, the partnership between Palestinians and Native Americans is neither surprising nor random.”

Marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

"Today, 136 countries recognize the State of Palestine and its flag flies at the United Nations next to those of all Member States. However, these advances are not felt by children in Gaza, or by the residents of Nablus, Hebron and East Jerusalem .[..] let us reaffirm our commitment to bring about the just peace that the peoples of Israel and Palestine deserve."

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

The Alliance for Water Justice in Palestine needs you support

Friends,

As you probably know, the Alliance for Water Justice in Palestine is an all-volunteer organization of groups and individuals actively opposing Israel’s use of water as a weapon against Palestinians living under occupation in the West Bank and Gaza.

The Alliance was organized in 2013 to oppose then-Governor Patrick’s Water Technology Partnership with Israel. Since then, we have organized against Israel’s discriminatory policies that inflict the water deprivation that Palestinians suffer.

We know that the issue of water injustice engages new supporters in the struggle for Palestinian rights as well as providing needed information to people who have been doing this work for a while. We’ve been paying for our outreach and educational material ourselves. Now we are turning to the larger community to help us amplify our message.

Here are some of the ways that even a small donation can make a difference:

$12 will pay to laminate one poster

$30 will supply us with 300 leaflets

$50 will fill a demo-to-go backpack

If you can make a larger donation:

$175 will give us a new banner with our website & logo

$200 will pay for our website in 2017

Help us highlight the issue of water injustice and corporate complicity wherever we can - on the streets of U.S. towns and cities, in the offices of our elected representatives, in the media and, with our allies across the U.S. and internationally, whenever Israel presents a distorted image of its “democracy.”

Please consider donating now, before the end of the year, to support our work. Your contribution is 100% tax-deductible. You can easily give through our website

 Thank you!
